A Bizarre Warning from California
What's with all these disclaimers in San Francisco? Is the entire city filled with dangerous chemicals? In almost every restaurant in San Francisco I would see the sign:
Even the hotel that I am living in, the Marriott at San Mateo has the following warning for the unwary traveller:
With the only realistic alternative being to starve or to freeze on the streets, I suppose I will have to endure the risks of growing a new appendage on my fingers. Perhaps, if I ever return to California again, I might see the following sign:
Warning: The Foods and Beverages in this Establishment Contain Chemicals Known to the State of California, to Cause Cancer and Birth Defects or Other Reproductive Harm
